Mason’s Musings June 30th, 2023

I can’t believe that summer is already halfway over! It seems like yesterday that all us librarians were busily preparing for all the upcoming summer reading programs. How time flies when you’re cutting cardboard squares and ordering giant coloring sheets. Even though we’re halfway done with our Summer Reading Program the fun has just begun; and you better believe that our July programs are going to be just as exciting and fun-filled as our June programs. However, just like June some of these events are for ages 10 and up, require registration only and have limited spots. These events include:

Wendy’s Paint Night on July 6th at 6:00 PM. Join Wendy and her mobile painting party as she guides you through the process of painting on your own. The canvas comes with a pre-drawn sketch of the painting already done for you for extra guidance. All you need to do is follow the sketch and fill in the colors. And at the end of the night you’ll have your very own painting to proudly hang at your house!

Cheese 101 with Justin Bonard on July 20th at 6:00 PM.

Cheese connoisseurs are going to love this. Come to the library for a night of cheese tasting and charcuterie boards galore with professional fromager Justin Bonard, of Ten:One Cheese Shop.

Just as in June our July calendar is going to be chock-full of fun events for everyone to attend. Even if you’re not interested in the events, coming in to avoid the heat is a good enough excuse for us! I hope you’re all excited for what’s to come and have a great last day of June!

And be sure to check out the July Newsletter for all the upcoming events!
