Mason’s Musings June 23rd, 2023

What a raucous and rowdy night we had at Dragon’s Sleepover! Our stuffed animal friends tore loose into the library and got into all sorts of shenanigans. If you wish to see for yourself the party animals in action their pictures can be found both on our Facebook and our website. We greatly enjoyed having all of our cuddly friends spend the night and Dragon can’t wait until next year when he gets to do it all over again! But enough about past events, let’s get on to our upcoming events which will be just as fun as Dragon’s Sleepover!

Our next upcoming event that’s sure to amaze with oohs and ahhhs is the Blackland Raptors birds of prey showcase. On June 29th at 11:00 AM you’ll get to see these majestic birds of prey and how they serve our environment as a whole! The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (BPRC) is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife raptors in their natural habitat. They do this by educating the public on the vital roles birds of prey have in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. They also help by preserving local habitats and caring for injured raptors. We hope you can join us in the library meeting room for this educational and fun-filled event!

Wishing you all the best this week and hope you’re all staying cool and refreshed in this summer heat. And to all my fellow eyeglasses wearing patrons let’s just hope the humidity tones down a little bit so that we can see whenever we step outside!
