Mason's Musings January 27, 2023

We are excited to share that we are changing software systems! This new technology is being welcomed with open arms as it will help us to better serve you, our patrons. Although there may be a slight learning curve where you’ll have to bear with us, this new system will undoubtedly make things much smoother for everyone. You may especially notice glitches in the hold and transit system the first few weeks.

Secondly, we will unfortunately be temporarily pausing two of our monthly programs, Teen Writing Club and Crafter’s UFO Club. We hope to bring back these programs later in the year.

Library Events 1/28 - 2/4

Saturday January 28th We have a very furry and fluffy event for kindergarten-elementary school aged kids, Reading with Rover! Starting at 10:30 AM bring the little ones so they can practice their reading skills with trained therapy dogs. Make sure to give one a pet from me!

Wednesday February 1st Starting February 1st Children’s Hour is back! Bring the little ones for story-time with Ms. Katie. Stories, songs, activities, and crafts are all part of the fun. Children’s Hour starts at 10:00 AM and occurs Wednesday of each month (excluding January and August).

Saturday February 4th 1st Saturday Drop-in-Craft has returned! Drop by any time between 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM every first Saturday of the month and have fun creating our themed crafts. This month we’ll be playing with paint stamping techniques to decorate a heart themed bag!

Upcoming Special Events:

Tuesday February 14th Get in the Valentine’s Day mood with “An Evening of Music” a special performance by Sean Gaskell and his 21-stringed African harp! The performance will start at 6:30 PM. Sean will perform traditional harp songs of the West African tribes. Refreshments will be offered at this FREE event.

The new year has brought so many changes and fun events and we’re just getting started! We hope this new year is full of exciting adventures and amazing discoveries for all of our patrons. Thank you all for your continued support. We truly have one of the best communities here in Krum, and we

will always be pleased to serve you!
