Mason’s Musings February 18th, 2023

Though Valentine’s Day has passed there’s still so much love left to spread this month and we hope you all had a wonderful V-day. Apologies once again to frequent users of our holds/transit system as we are temporarily halting any transits from other libraries in the consortium. This is why items from other libraries are showing up as “unavailable”. Please Call us with questions and problems – we will try to find a “work around”. We hope to be able to resume regular holds and transits within a month or so.

We thank all of our patrons new and old for being so patient with us during this time. We know how frustrating it must be to not be able to get the materials you want; however, this will not be permanent and everything should be in working order in due time!

Library Events 2/18 – 2/25:

Tuesday February 21st– Come connect with other home-schooling parents and students at Home School Meet-Up. Join Librarian Joy for STEAM activities for school aged children, and free play for Pre-k children. February’s science lesson will be an interactive lesson on the science of sound and music! Home School Meet-Up starts at 1:00 PM every third Tuesday of each month.

Wednesday February 22nd – Children’s Hour with Ms. Katie! Bring the little ones for story-time with Ms. Katie. Stories, songs, activities, and crafts are all part of the fun. Children’s Hour starts at 10:00 AM and occurs every Wednesday of each month (excluding January and August).

Friday February 24th Fourth Friday Free Play! From 11:00 AM to Noon. Preschoolers and their adults are invited to come join the fun every fourth Friday of the month for an unstructured play time in the KPL Meeting Room. Available toys will rotate each month, but there will always be reading, art, and play centers.
