I recommend All the Beauty in the World by Patrick Bringley.
Those people we never see - janitors, cleaners, security guards - just what do they do all day? This book tells the story of a security guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and his 10-year journey of growth and learning.
His reason for taking the job was to hide from the world following the death of his big brother. His reason for quitting was to re-enter the outside world and start a new chapter in his life while hoping to share all he learned on the journey with his two young children.
It is an easy read but it did make me want to go to the museum. Now to find a way to go there without dealing with all the people in New York City!
